"Your heart is a home"

Poem by JOS

Your heart is a home Don’t build houses in other people For other people are not homes The houses you build In others Have wheels So they can leave whenever they please However You have your own house The walls you’ve built of brick A steel roof All that’s needed is a door Because Darling Your heart is a home too Allow people to enter and leave as they please But that home will always be your own Darling Your heart is a home For your soul to rest in And no not to stay But a place to come back to After all that wandering you do In other houses you’ve tried to build In other people you’ve tried to make stay Your heart is a home For you
